I’ve always been good at eating. It’s time I start learning to make food.
The picnic at Botanic Gardens got me started. It’s the third brunch I’ve prepared since. Previous attempts include big breakfast, pancakes and now this.

My mama bought avocados home for the first time. I usually eat avocado slices on sushi only. It was my first time eating the whole fruit by itself, and it tasted really good. My mama came up with the idea of having it with coconut sugar syrup. I hear it’s very good for the skin. The smooth and rich buttery texture made me hallucinate that my skin just got polished. Haha, but like all other good stuff in the world, cannot take too much at one go. Half is just enough.

i used to make a lot of pastries during my secondary school days. i was forced into doing it because i had to take home economics for my Os. strangely, i’ve grown to like baking. but somehow the big oven in school works much better than the tiny microwave at home. often, tarts were overbaked at home, eventhough i followed the exact temperature and time. Slowly, .i dread the overbaked brownies and stopped baking altogether. i still often cook at home and make pineapple tarts during chinese new yr. but it’s just different now.
my love for quiche is hard to explain. it’s da ultimate comfort food. but it’s way too expensive for me to eat it everyday. if i could, i will eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner – every single day.
